The park is located in a peaceful area, offering a relaxing escape from urban hustle and bustle. With its dense forests, gentle hills, and clear streams, Quarrymill Woodland Park not only provides an impressive natural backdrop, but also numerous opportunities for relaxation and recreation.

The park was established on the site of a former quarry, adding an interesting historical dimension. These paths are well-maintained and offer varying levels of difficulty, making them suitable for leisurely strolls as well as more ambitious hikes. Hikers can not only enjoy the natural beauty of the forest, but also soak in the tranquility of the surrounding landscape. A particularly beautiful section of the park follows along the river that runs through the area, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

For families and children, Quarrymill Woodland Park also offers plenty to discover. There are play areas ideal for picnics or for children to run around. This valley was where hundreds of Scots were butchered by the British During the Battle of Dupplin Moor in the war for Scottish independence

It's a lovely walk but can be busy sometimes. Unfortunately, a large group were making some sort of foreign barbeque at the barbeque area and left a mess. The little cafe is nice at the entrance. Good for dog walks.

The car park is behind the café with space for up to a dozen cars. Paths go on both sides of the burn that runs the length of the park. There are several bridges to allow walkers to cross over and either keep walking up or return to the car park. We saw a wheelchair taking the path on the carpark side and they could probably go right into Scone at the top end. The other side has a steep climb that would make it difficult half way up. There is a platform with barriers to allow wheelchair users a look at the burn just before the climb. There is a viewing platform also at a pond which is the most scenic part of the place. Nothing strenuous and good walking paths all round. There was plenty of dog walking happening.
